Original title of the movie: "Leila Khaled, the Tunisian" 34 min.
Since the beginning of the social movement in the mining area of Gafsa, women took a prominent role. Their initiatives led to several forms of resistance (occupations, sit-ins, demonstrations ...) and they were those who provided the daily special cohesion and solidarity among the population and within families which allowed the movement to grow.
Since the vast repression and imprisonment of dozens of leaders of the movement, they are still fighting for the liberation of prisoners while ensuring the continuity of life in Redeyef. Today, they assume the role of spokespersons for their husbands, brothers and sons jailed.
The film tells the story of these last two years through the words of some of these women. It is dedicated to them.

I am still looking for assistance to translate in English/Arabic, because people should know that the EU could do more for human rights in Tunisia and the GAFSA people specifically.
