In december 2007, the Euro-Meditteranean Human Rights Network has issued the first report on freedom of association. This work includes a complete inventory, country by country, of the exercise of freedom of association in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Promotion of democracy and human rights cannot be dissociated from the question of women’s rights. There is no democracy if women are not allowed to take part in public life on equal terms with men.

Justice lies at the heart of human rights concerns and is crucial to the development of the Rule of Law. The purpose of Justice is to ensure the people’s legal security and the respect of their rights and fundamental liberties.

The overall objective of the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network is to support the development of democratic institutions, the promotion of the rule of law, and human rights.

The EMHRN works to promote and strengthen Human Rights in the region through educational practice and theory.nbsp;It seeks to buildnbsp; partnership and cooperation amongst members in order to disseminate and evaluate HRE methodologies and experiences.
